Immerse your students in authentic Latin culture and cuisine with a trip to El Meson in West Carrollton this year!
For nearly five decades, El Meson has been independently owned and operated by the Castro family. Bringing their Colombian culture to the Dayton area in 1966 and buying a pizza parlor that would become El Meson in 1978, their passion has always been to share their heritage and culture.
It is this passion that leads the Castro family to open up their restaurant to Spanish classes from around the Miami Valley! Hosting an exciting and interactive cultural experience, these sessions are centered around developing a respect and knowledge of Hispanic culture and covers a wide range of topics including: foods, nuances in language, and much more!
In an effort to minimize the expense, the price per student is just $18 with Tax and Tip incluided for this, students and teachers are served a three-course meal, integrating authentic Hispanic cuisine from around the globe. More than just eating, owner and teacher, Sr. Castro encourages student interaction with the use of Spanish language during their visit and everyone learns exciting new cultural dances! (35 kids minimum)
Final head count due 3 days before event. Any absence of paid student is not refundable. Food will be packed to go.
We see these sessions as a great way for students to have fun and use the language they have been studying. It is our pleasure to share our culture and we hope to host you soon!
These classes can be offered during school field trips or in the evenings. Call Bill Castro for more information and to schedule your event. 937-859-8229.
