El Meson is marking its 44th year this July and we're celebrating the past, present, and future of our family's restaurant! Join us July 27th through 30th, starting at 4pm daily, as we present special dishes from each era for you to try!

Starting as the humble "Pizza Queen" in 1978, Herman and Gloria Castro were the visionaries for what El Meson has become today! Carried through by Bill, Marie, Mark, and Scott, today's El Meson management is welcoming in third generation proprietor, Stefan, to carry the restaurant into the future!
Here are the specials for you to try from each generation:
Past - Pizza Queen

Present - El Meson
  • Mediterranean Octopus Tapa
  • Birria tacos - Slow cooked shredded beef with cheese, cilanto and onions in corn tortillas. Served with a consommé sauce
Future… Our Third and Fourth Generations
  • Bocadillo Steak Sandwich - flank steak marinated in a brioche bun with provolone cheese, roasted pimentos, arugula, and Chimichurri 
  • Pintxos de Gambas - garlic shrimp skewers
